Matilda

This past weekend we made our final journey down to London. The trip originally was built around the Making of Harry Potter exhibit, and the Roald Dahl musical Matilda. We found out a bit later that this weekend was also the Queen's Jubilee celebration for her 60 years on the throne. This meant some very heavy crowds, but an exciting atmosphere throughout the city. We kicked off our stay with Matilda, which won several prizes at the recent Oliver Awards, including best new musical and best actress (shared by the four little girls who play the role of Matilda). Both Will and Ainsley love Roald Dahl books and we couldn't pass up the opportunity to see the show. The musical was amazing, and we were all so impressed with the kid's performances. Turns out Matlida is heading to Broadway in 2013, so catch it if you can.
