Oberammergau

During our whirlwind tour of Bavaria, we made a quick visit to the little town of Oberammergau. It was the kind of place that we would ideally spent more time in, but we enjoyed looking around with the brief time we had. Oberammergau is known for its traditional woodcarvings, houses with painted murals, and a special presentation of the Passion Play every ten years.

Fun to see holiday decorations still up around town.

Oberammergau is also home to the world's largest owls.
