Lochgelly

This weekend was spent close to home. We have a two-week break which starts at the end of next week, and we will be kicking off the holiday a bit early by heading down to London for a UK Fulbright Teacher meeting and dinner at the embassy on Friday. We plan to spend a few days in London before making our way over to France and Belgium. We won't be bringing the laptop, so the blog will be taking a holiday as well. So, although the further reaches of Scotland are calling, we spent this weekend closer to home with the usual assortment of Saturday football games with Will, grocery shopping at Tesco and Asda, and catching up with laundry. However, our friends the Ross family invited us out for a Sunday walk at Lochgelly.  Lochgelly is a small lake with a scenic walking path around the outside and a very cool playground at the end. The kids loved climbing around the hills, jumping in puddles, getting dirty, basically just being kids.  The lake and walk reminded us a bit of Spring Lake in Santa Rosa.

Scotland seems to have the best playgrounds ever.
